A busy road in Glasgow was hit with a lane closure due to an emergency incident last night.

Glasgow City Council say North Street from St Vincent Street in the city was reduced to one lane due to a car crash.

The incident took place shortly after 9pm on Thursday, February 22.

Currently, it is unknown if anyone was injured during the smash or how many vehicles were involved.

However, the road reopened at around 10pm.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 8.20pm on Thursday, February 22, 2024, police were called to the North Street area of Glasgow, following a two-vehicle crash.

"One motorist was issued with a fixed penalty notice and recovery was arranged.”
