OVO Hydro bosses have warned fans not to camp outside the venue ahead of Niall Horan's gig.

The Irish singer-songwriter and former One Direction member will perform at the city venue on Wednesday night.

Before the Slow Hands singer takes to the stage, the Hydro has told fans that camping outside is not permitted.

A spokesperson said: "Visiting the OVO Hydro on Wednesday for Niall Horan's gig?

"Please remember, early queuing on Campus is discouraged - it won’t guarantee a place at the front of the stage!

"Queuing/camping overnight on Campus is not permitted – the safety of the public attending events on our Campus is our highest priority, especially considering the active nature of our campus with other various events taking place.

"We recommend visitors allow plenty of time to get through our security checks and into the venue, arriving for the doors open time as a general guide – don’t miss out on the action!"

It comes after we reported that dozens of fans of The 1975 camped by the Hydro doors days before the band's gig on February 8.

Visitors set up outside the doors as early as two days before their concert at the beginning of the month in a bid to be as close to the stage as possible.
