A man is believed to have gone to a pub after he claimed his GPS tag fell off.

Jude Boslem, 21, was consuming alcohol throughout May 20, 2023, at homeless accommodation in Glasgow.

Around 10.20pm, he entered the front desk area and presented his GPS tag to workers, which he said had fallen off.

He was ordered to wear this between 8pm and 8am each night after an appearance at Hamilton Sheriff Court.

The employees saw Boslem leave and believed that he was going to a pub.

Cops were notified.

Shortly before midnight, he arrived back at the hotel and became aggressive when police showed up.

He said: “You are not giving me the jail.”

Officers explained why they were there and tried to detain him.

Boslem shouted and swore at them, saying: “I will f**king have you”.

He began to flail his arms around and a small struggle ensued.

Police tried to take control of him while he was moving his arms to prevent the application of handcuffs.

More cops were called to attend. He continued to shout, swear and threatened to spit on officers so a spit hood was applied.

While being escorted out, he shouted at a cop with a Sri Lankan heritage “f**king black b*****d”.

He was taken to London Road police station.

Boslem appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week after he pleaded guilty to tampering with and removing his tag.

His lawyer said:" This is disgraceful behaviour. There is no excuse but his explanation is that he was under pressure.

"He made substantial progress since. He is on remand due to a serious matter, there will be a High Court trial soon."

Sheriff Joan Kerr said to him: "In no way am I underplaying your behaviour because it was totally out of order.

"You committed a breach of a court order and your behaviour towards police was terrible.

"But you are a young man with sporting ability. I see that you have your own home now and you are attending college."

Sentence deferred for six months for good behaviour and further reports.
