A 'trespasser' on a busy railway line in Glasgow sparked a police incident this morning.

We previously reported that ScotRail said 999 crews were dealing with a situation between High Street station and Bellgrove station in the city.

Now, the British Transport Police (BTP) have revealed they were called to a report of a trespasser on the line near Bellgrove at around 11.20am on Tuesday, March 5.

Following that, one man was tracked down by cops and taken to a safe place.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

A spokesperson for the BTP said: "British Transport Police were called to the line near Bellgrove station at around 11.20am today to reports of a trespasser.
