A body has been found in the search for a missing woman last seen in Glasgow.
The Glasgow Times previously reported that a 61-year-old woman was reported missing from Chryston in North Lanarkshire.
She was last seen around 7.15am on Tuesday, March 5 in Glasgow and it was believed that she may have travelled to Edinburgh by train.
Now, Police Scotland have confirmed that a body has been found in Edinburgh during the investigation of a missing Chryston woman.
Though formal identification is yet to take place, cops confirmed that the family of Anne Green have been made aware.
A spokesperson said: "The body of a woman has been found in Edinburgh during an investigation into a missing woman from Chryston.
"She is yet to be formally identified but the family of Anne Green, 61, has been made aware.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
