'Avoid the area': Busy Glasgow road to be SHUT for DAYS (Image: Newsquest)
An 'avoid the area' warning has been issued as a busy Glasgow road is set to be closed.
Glasgow City Council has said Balmore Road will be shut from Ashgill Road to Hawthorn Street from 8am on Friday, March 22 until 5pm on Sunday, March 24.
It will be closed to allow carriageway resurfacing works to take place in the area.
Drivers are being urged to expect delays while also being told to 'avoid the area' if possible.
Local access will be maintained throughout the closure.
