A man has been charged after an 'incident' in a Glasgow street.

We previously reported that Shettleston Road was closed off on Saturday night. 

Glasgow City Council roads department said this was due to a road traffic collision. 

Officers were called to the scene of the alleged collision, which involved one vehicle on South Vesalius Street near Shettleston Road.

A woman was taken to hospital.

A 29-year-old man was charged in connection with alleged road traffic offences.

A report will be prepared for the procurator fiscal. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.55pm on Saturday, March 16, police were called to a report of a road crash involving one vehicle on South Vesalius Street near Shettleston Road, Glasgow.

"One woman was taken to hospital and a 29-year-old man was charged in connection with road traffic offences.

"A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
