A major retailer has announced it is set to close one of its Glasgow stores.
Scotmid will be closing its store on Clarkston Road in the city's Muirend area.
Bosses confirmed that the store will close on Friday, March 22.
However, they have confirmed they are 'exploring' employment opportunities in other stores for workers impacted by the closure.
Following the news, locals have taken to social media to share their sadness.
One said: "Will be missed."
While a second added: "Noo."
In a statement, Karen Scott, chief operating officer at Scotmid, said: “The decision has been made to close our store in Muirend.
"We are exploring employment opportunities in our other Glasgow stores for those employees impacted by the closure.
"We understand that this is a difficult situation for staff and we are fully committed to supporting them throughout this transition period.”
