A well-known supermarket could open a new location in Glasgow.
Plans have been submitted by Sainsbury's to open a convenience store at Lancefield Quay.
If given the go-ahead, the store will be located on the entire ground floor of an under-construction residential tower block.
The supermarket would stock 'everyday grocery items' and feature large walk-in fridges, stock cages, a cash office, staff toilets and a welfare space.
A free cash withdrawals machine is planned to be erected on the external wall.
The application reads: "The proposal seeks to facilitate occupation of the space with a quality retailer at Lancefield Quay, providing a meaningful range of everyday convenience goods that will ensure local residents can meet their top-up shopping requirements locally."
