A £500,000 state-of-the-art racing simulator centre is opening near Glasgow.
Playsport in East Kilbride is set to welcome GP Racing Simulators in the coming months in the huge new investment.
The 3600 square feet space will feature 10 professional-grade racing simulators, each with its own racing seat, steering wheel, pedals and a 43-inch monitor.
It promises a 'hyper-realistic' motorsport experience, from driving practice circuits to competing in immersive Grand Prix-inspired races.
The simulators use the only haptic system licensed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, which is the governing body of motorsports worldwide.
This professional-grade motion technology is combined with virtual reality headset technology, used by brands such as Boeing and Volvo, making for a 'world-class' experience.
Guests can also unwind in a new licensed bar and dining complex which will form part of the space.
The move will also create local jobs as well as a new entertainment option in the area, with bosses promising it will rival the likes of Topgolf, NQ64 and Fayre Play.
GP Racing Simulators was created by Ben Lambie, a former British and Scottish Championship karting winner who wanted to combine his experience to give racers an exciting ride as well as let families enjoy a fun day out.
Ben said: “We’re collaborating with experts in the industry and using the very highest quality technology on the market to realise my vision for this world-class facility.
"GP Racing Simulators will offer an unrivalled motorsport experience unlike anything else on the market.
"Work is well underway to transform the unit at Playsport and we’re looking forward to opening our doors in the coming months."
