999 crews raced to an 'incident' near a busy train station in Glasgow.

Police officers and transport cops descended on Merkland Street in the city's West End on Tuesday evening.

This was in response to a report of an incident near Partick train station.

Two teenagers were arrested and charged in connection with an alleged theft.

A report is being sent to the procurator fiscal. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of an incident on Merkland Street near to Partick railway station shortly after 6pm on Tuesday, March 26.

“Officers attended, along with partners from British Transport Police.

“Two men, aged 19 and 18 were arrested and charged by Police Scotland in connection with a theft.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
