Love Island star Laura Anderson has landed a huge new broadcasting job.

The 34-year-old Scottish TV personality announced she will be co-hosting a radio show on Capital Scotland.

Taking to social media to reveal the news, the star said it was a 'pinch me' moment.

Announcing the news, Laura Anderson said: "A pinch me moment this morning announcing my brand new position as Capital Scotland co-host of the number one hit music station.

"My dad always said to me as a kid ‘Laura you really can talk for Scotland’ - well Dad you were right!

"Here I am joining the incredible Fat Brestovci every weekday from 6am to 10am waking you up with the best tunes and I’m sure a lot of laughs along the way.

"Thank goodness I’m a morning person."

It comes after Talia Storm, who previously hosted the show alongside Fat, announced her departure.

In a social media post, the Scots star said she left the radio station after her 'loan period' ended.

Talia said: "Best year of my life moving back to Scotland and waking up at 5am to host Scotland's number one hit music station Capital Scotland with my bestie, sarcastic, hilarious king for life - Fat Brestovci.

"Loved every minute of it but my loan period is up.

"I've loved every minute of laughing, crying and celebrating with every one of you right here in Scotland.

"Thank you for making my wildest dreams come true and letting me talk to you for four hours a day Monday - Friday!"
