A man has been rushed to hospital following a 'disturbance' on a Glasgow street.

The incident took place on Victoria Road in the city's Southside shortly after 4pm this afternoon (Friday, April 12).

Police say they were called to a report of a disturbance in the area.

999 crews raced to the scene.

Following that, one man was taken to hospital for treatment.

An investigation is now underway to establish the circumstances of the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 4.20pm on Friday, 12 April, 2024 we were called to a report of a disturbance on Victoria Road, Glasgow. 

"Officers attended. One man was taken to hospital for treatment. 

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
