UPADTE HERE: 999 crews are at the scene
A stretch of road has been closed in Kirkintilloch due to an ongoing police incident.
Officers are at the scene on the A803 Glasgow Road. The road is shut from the Torrance roundabout to Rob Roy Gardens in the East Dunbartonshire town.
Motorists have been advised that this is due to a road traffic accident. They were also warned to use alternative routes.

An East Dunbartonshire Council spokesperson said: "Police Scotland has closed the A803 Glasgow Road from Torrance Roundabout to Rob Roy Gardens in Kirkintilloch due to a road traffic accident.
"Please use alternative routes."
