A car was deliberately torched in broad daylight today. 

The car was set on fire on Burn Street, Alexandria, at the junction with the A813.

The incident occurred at around 6am. 

Officers are now appealing for information following the incident. 

Detective Constable Calum Hall said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for information.

“If you saw anything suspicious in the area or have private CCTV or dash-cam that could help with our investigation then please get in touch.”
