Huge transformation plans have been revealed for Strathclyde Park.
Over £14 million is expected to be invested into the popular visitor attraction in a bid to redevelop and give it a new lease of life.
The park's Watersports Centre will be converted into a state-of-the-art low-carbon hub over the next three years.
Improvements will be made to the rowing and water sports facilities, and a brand-new cafe will open.
The ambitious project is backed by funding from the council, Public Sector Heat Decarbonisation Fund and UK Shared Prosperity Funding.
It aims to reduce carbon emissions and operating costs by integrating advanced insulation and renewable energy solutions.
North Lanarkshire Council Leader Jim Logue and Helen Loughran, the convener of environment and climate change visited the park to inspect the plans which aim to enhance the facilities on offer for visitors.
Councillor Logue said: "This redevelopment will boost Strathclyde Park as a place to go destination for our communities while promoting health and sustainability. It also helps provide another significant step towards our net-zero ambitions.
“When complete, the new Watersports Centre will serve as a vibrant community meeting point and outdoor sporting hub and help build on the natural beauty of the park.”
