A clinic in Glasgow city centre has closed down after less than a year.

Laser Clinics UK Glasgow Central branch - which was located on Buchanan Street - has shut down.

A sign has been placed on the venue's door saying the store has shut due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.

The Glasgow Times understands the clinic opened in the city centre in July 2023, according to their social media channels.

A post on the company's Instagram account said they were 'so excited to announce' their '50th clinic' opening in the UK - which was the Glasgow Central branch.

Revealing the closure, the sign on the door read: "Dear customers.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, we regret to inform you that this clinic - Laser Clinics Glasgow Central - is now closed.

"For any inquiries or outstanding matters, please contact us at onlinesupport@laserclinics.co.uk."

A spokesperson for Laser Clinics said: "Due to a range of factors including the current retail environment and the mid to long-term financial outlook of their clinic, Laser Clinics has supported Laser Clinics Glasgow Central franchisee to make the difficult decision to close their clinic.

"We are working closely with this franchisee to limit their personal financial impact as they depart the network.

"All Glasgow Central clients have been transferred to the Glasgow Silverburn clinic where we will ensure our clients enjoy an exceptional experience and the highest level of service and standards.

"Our goal – as always – is to support the long-term success of our franchisees. As co-owners of our clinics, they are front and centre of our strategic plan and their success is pivotal to our growth in the UK. "
