Part of Glasgow's M8 motorway is currently 'restricted' due to an emergency incident.
Traffic Scotland has said the road's westbound carriageway between Junction 16 (Dobbie's Loan Interchange) and Junction 17 (St George's Cross) is 'restricted' following a collision.
999 crews are on the scene.
In pictures posted by the road firm, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) have blocked the road while they deal with the incident.
It is unknown if anyone has been injured during it.
Traffic is currently backed up to Junction 12 (Cumbernauld Road Interchange).
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 7.39am on Wednesday, June 19 to reports of a road traffic collision on the M8 westbound between junction 17 and 18.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to a collision involving two vehicles and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.
“One casualty was taken to hospital for a precautionary check.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
