The fire service has released a statement after a woman died following an incident in Glasgow's city centre.
We reported how emergency crews raced to a report of a woman, lying on the ground, who had been struck by a car on Wellington Lane on Tuesday, August 13.
999 teams were alerted to the incident shortly after 2.30pm.

Following it, police revealed a 40-year-old woman had sadly passed away, while the driver of the car was uninjured.
Now, Area Commander Andy Kenna - who is the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service's Local Senior Officer for Glasgow - has revealed a joint investigation alongside Police Scotland into the incident is underway.
He said: “We were alerted at 2.51pm on Tuesday, August 13, to reports of a person trapped under a vehicle on Wellington Lane, Glasgow.
“Operations control mobilised two fire appliances and a heavy rescue unit to the area, where firefighters assisted emergency partners.
“Sadly, one person passed away at the scene.
“Our thoughts are very much with their family, friends, and the wider community at this difficult time.
“A joint investigation alongside Police Scotland colleagues is now ongoing.”

Following the woman's death, police said her family had been informed.
Meanwhile, an investigation into the incident so far has established the woman was dropped off in the lane prior to being hit by the vehicle.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course, however, the death is not being treated as suspicious.
In an appeal for information, Detective Sergeant Sean McLoughlin said: "We are continuing to investigate the circumstances around this incident.
"A family has lost a loved one and it's imperative we provide answers as to how that happened.
"If anyone has any information, who has not yet spoken to us, please do get in touch."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2027 of August 13 2024."
During the incident, we reported how police sealed off the area, while officers stood guard preventing anyone from accessing the street.
On top of that, several cop cars along with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service were pictured on the scene.
