A Glasgow man stared at a young girl in public and kept asking her questions.
The 12-year-old girl was wearing her uniform waiting for her school bus at a bus stop on Paisley Road West on December 13, 2023.
Kaan Hassan approached and started staring at her.
Without prompt, the 42-year-old asked her which school she went to.
The girl was scared and apprehensive because he was much older and unknown to her. But she replied.
The East End resident asked what year she was in.
The girl thought if she answered, he would leave her alone, so she told him she was in second year.
Hassan continued to stare at her and the schoolgirl became extremely fearful.
When Hassan shouted at a passing vehicle, the youngster took the opportunity and ran away.
She went to her school and told her teacher about the incident.
The staff called her father and he came to collect her. The girl was extremely distressed.
Police were called and they reviewed CCTV and confirmed the accused to be the same man they stopped the day before.
On December 12, officers were called to Argyle Street after Hassan approached a group of young people.
Following a verbal altercation, he was struck in the face by a boy.
In response, Hassan said: "F*** you n******”.
When cops came to arrest him, he said: "Ice Cube had a concert last week and he said n***** loads so I can say the same.”

He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week after he pleaded guilty to behaving aggressively and in a racially aggravated matter.
He also admitted to repeatedly asking the girl questions.
His lawyer told the court: "He asked me to apologise, he would like that opportunity."
Sheriff Patricia Pryce: "Particularly the charge [involving the young girl] gives me cause for concern."
The sheriff said: "She is so young, she must have been terrified.”
Hassan was sentenced to 200 hours of unpaid work.
