Further train disruption has been confirmed following a second signalling fault this morning.
Network Rail Scotland has confirmed that train services on the West Coast Main Line and Glasgow Central low level will be disrupted due to a signalling fault at Newton.

The Newton line is closed whilst the Network Rail Scotland staff work to fix the issue.

Network Rail Scotland said: "We're dealing with a signal fault at Newton, disrupting services on the West Coast Main Line and also via Glasgow Central low-level.
"We are working with Avanti West Coast and ScotRail to move affected trains from the area, and also get a response team to the site to fix the fault as soon as possible."
ScotRail confirmed the issue with a post to X, saying: "Due to a fault with the signalling system at Newton, the line here is currently closed.
"Network Rail Scotland staff are on site investigating the fault."
