A community sports hub in the East End of Glasgow has been closed amid 'ongoing financial pressures'.
Alexandra Park Sports Hub in Dennistoun shut to the public on April 30.
The centre, which is located on Alexandra Park Street, was operated by Milnbank Housing Association (MHA).
The social landlord stated that the reason behind the closure is 'ongoing financial pressures'.
It is understood that MHA had been leasing the building from Glasgow Life, an arm's-length council organisation, but this had expired earlier this year.
MHA say they explored whether another group could take over the facility but that the future of the building 'now rests with Glasgow Life'.
Groups using this centre were informed of the closure ahead of time.

A Milnbank Housing Association spokesperson said: "Unfortunately, due to ongoing financial pressures, we are no longer able to continue operating the Alexandra Park Sports Hub.
"Our original lease expired earlier this year, and since then, we have worked closely with Glasgow City Council’s Asset Transfer Team to explore whether another organisation could take on the facility.
"As the building is owned by Glasgow Life, the responsibility for its future now rests with them.
"While Milnbank has made the difficult decision to close the Hub, we remain committed to supporting any charity or community group that may be interested in using the facility going forward.
"All existing user groups were informed in advance of the planned closure, which took place on April 30, 2025."
Glasgow Life has been contacted for comment.
