A major commuter road near Glasgow will be closed for several nights next week.

On behalf of Transport Scotland, Amey will complete essential resurfacing on the A737 carriageway in Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, at the Roadhead Roundabout and its approach road.

The work will take place from Monday, August 25, until Thursday, August 28, between 8pm and 6am each night.

To allow the work to be carried out, the A737, at the above location, will be closed overnight each night. A signed diversion will be in place for motorists.

During the roadworks, there will also be overnight temporary traffic lights between Beith and the A760.

Then, from 8pm on Thursday, August 28, until 6am on Friday, August 29, 2025, temporary traffic lights will be installed on the A737 and A760.

In addition, lane closures will be in place on the roundabout; these measures will add an additional five minutes to journeys.
