A far-right counter-protest is set to take place in Glasgow city centre later this month.

Campaigners have urged protestors to "save the date" and join the "No To The Far Right" demonstration planned on September 20.

Crowds are expected to gather on the Buchanan Steps outside the city’s landmark Buchanan Galleries shopping centre.

Stand Up To Racism Glasgow announced the protest on their Facebook page at the beginning of the month.

The post read: "SAVE THE DATE.

"Join us at the counter-protest on Saturday, September 20, to say NO to the far right in Glasgow!

"Buchanan Galleries Steps. Saturday, September 20, 12pm.

"In July, 500 anti-racists took to the streets to say that Glasgow is ANTI-FASCIST.

"We have a busy few weeks ahead of us - let’s make sure we turn out in huge numbers again on the 20th!"
