A man caught with a £7,000 cannabis haul in his home was jailed this week for nine months.

Steven Penrice, 40, was snared with the drugs at the property in Glasgow's Yoker on June 6 2024.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that police forced entry into Penrice's home which was found to have no one in it.

Prosecutor Victoria Keel said: "A collection of drugs were identified which amounted to £7,770 of cannabis.

"There were also multiple bags, scales and stickers with a cannabis logo on them which indicated the supply of cannabis."

Penrice then attended the property and was arrested.

He later "spoke freely" to officers and claimed that the cannabis belonged to him.

Penrice pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
