Woman rushed Glasgow hospital after crash Knightswood's Lincoln Avenue

A woman has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car.

The collision took place in the Knightswood area at around 7.30pm last night.

Emergency services were called to Lincoln Avenue after the alarm was raised that a pedestrian had been struck by a grey coloured Peugeot 208 at the junction with Embo Drive.

A 41-year-old woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The driver was not injured in the collision.

The road was closed to allow for collision investigation to take place.

Sergeant Neal Galbraith said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch with us.

"I'd also like to ask any motorists with dash cam to check their footage as it could assist us in our ongoing enquiries."
