An urgent search has been launched for a woman and two children, police say they would like to check on.
British Transport Police (BTP) is investigating an incident which took place at Dalry station in North Ayrshire on Sunday, February 15.
Officers were contacted by a third party on this date who reported that they had been at the station platform at around 3pm when they saw a man shouting and swearing aggressively towards a woman.
BTP notes that the woman is believed to be known to the man.
The pair were also with two small children.
The man is said to have kicked and punched a shelter before getting on a train travelling in the direction of Glasgow Central, leaving the woman and children on the platform.
