A shop in Milngavie has successfully applied for a licence to conduct off-sales of products containing alcohol.
Jackobeers in the town centre’s Station Road, which provides a range of bottled and canned products such as craft beers and ciders, in addition to a range of food items such as pies, smoked fish and cheese, was granted a premises licence from East Dunbartonshire Licensing Board at a recent session.

The licence allows the sale of alcohol products from 10am until 10pm daily and the alcohol display area is 44 square metres.
No objections were received from the licensing board’s statutory partners, although the health and social care partnership’s submission noted that the shop is located in Barloch which has a higher rate of alcohol-related hospital admissions than the average for East Dunbartonshire.
