Beloved East Kilbride bridal boutique to close after 15 years

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Bridal Boutique confirmed the news in an emotional statement to customers, saying it was “with a heavy heart” that the boutique would be shutting its doors as the owner moves into a “new chapter” and spends more time with family.

In the post, owner Joanna wrote: “After 15 wonderful years in the bridal world, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo Bridal Boutique will be closing its doors.

“This has not been an easy decision, but the time has come for me to step into a new chapter and spend more time with my family and loved ones.

“I want to say the biggest, most heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who has walked through our doors. Being part of your journey—helping you find the dress and sharing in such special, emotional moments—has been an absolute privilege. The memories we’ve created together will stay with us forever.”

Reassuring current customers, the boutique added that all existing orders are safe and will still be fulfilled, with the shop remaining open to complete dress fittings as planned and all brides contacted directly about the update.

The statement concluded: “Further details regarding our closing date will be shared soon. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing me and the team to be part of your most magical moments. Those memories will stay with us forever. With love, Joanna and the team.”
