Pollok Kite Fest is set to kick off a popular community festival this month.
Marking the start of Glasgow’s Village Storytelling Festival, the event will take place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, from 1pm to 4pm.
Held on the hill opposite Pollok Community Centre on Langton Road, the free festival afternoon will showcase local talent, including artwork and performances by various groups.

The event will also feature arts and crafts, storytelling, games, face painting, music, dancing and kite flying.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own kites to contribute to a colourful display in the sky over Pollok Hill.
For those without a kite, there will be plenty available to borrow, along with materials to make your own.
The event is open to attendees of all ages, with no prior booking required.
