A teenager is due in court after a 19-year-old was 'stabbed' in the city centre of Glasgow last weekend.
The incident took place around 2.15pm on Sunday, May 17, in the area of St Enoch Square.
The 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. It is understood that this was a stabbing.
We previously reported that the Square was taped off by cops for several hours, and the south entrance of the St Enoch Station was shut down.
Cops urged people to ‘avoid the area’.
It has now been revealed that a 17-year-old man has allegedly been arrested and charged in connection.
He was released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 17-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a report of a serious assault in Glasgow.
"The incident happened around 2.15pm on Sunday, May 17, 2026 in the area of St Enoch Square.
"A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
"He was released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date."
