Police reveal number of arrests on final day of TRNSMT

There were nine ‘attacks’ during the third and final day of TRNSMT, police have revealed.

Officers were alerted to reports of nine assaults at the Glasgow Green music festival on Sunday, June 21.

A 43-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

Two women were also charged in connection and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

An investigation remains ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following the last day at TRNSNT on Glasgow Green on Sunday, June 21, 2026, officers received a report of nine assaults. 

“A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date. 

“Two women were also charged in connection and will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

So far, this brings the total number of arrests at this year’s TRNSMT to 12.

On the second day of the event, police confirmed that five people had been arrested while another six were charged.

Three boys were arrested and charged in connection with alleged breach of the peace offences on Saturday, June 20.

Meanwhile, a further two people were arrested in connection with an alleged ‘disturbance’. The pair were also issued with recorded police warnings.

Throughout Saturday’s performances, six people were charged in connection with reported assault and breach of the peace offences.

It came after six people were arrested during the opening night of the festival on Friday, June 19.

Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, were arrested and charged in connection with alleged ‘drug offences’.

Two 16-year-old boys were arrested in connection with reported assaults.

Elsewhere, a 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged breach of an air navigation order and a 38-year-old man was arrested following a reported road traffic offence.
