Music fans have begun streaming into Hampden Park ahead of Calvin Harris’s massive homecoming show in Glasgow tonight, and our pictures capture the excitement building outside the stadium.
Crowds are seen queuing along the West Stand, with groups of friends posing in Calvin merch, sequinned tops and cowboy boots.
Some fans have gone all-in on the rave theme, sporting orange cone hats and heart-shaped sunglasses, while others cool off with glittery hand fans as they wait for the gates to open.
Families and friend groups wave for the camera, turning the Hampden forecourt into a sea of festival outfits and anticipation.
Calvin Harris is set to take the stage at Scotland’s National Stadium later tonight after months of build-up, joined by American DJ MK and Irish singer-songwriter Jazzy, who previously collaborated with him on the track Satisfy.
Doors opened at 5pm, with Jazzy on from 5.30pm, MK playing until 8.40pm, and Harris due to perform a two-hour headline set from 9pm to 11pm.
Earlier this week, the Dumfries-born star made an unusual announcement ahead of the gigs, revealing a limited-edition Rave Haggis created with Scottish butcher Stahly Quality Foods, available online and at the shows and billed as “a tribute to Scottish culture” and “the ultimate collector’s item”.
