A 16-year-old has been arrested after reports of a male with a knife in Bishopbriggs.
Officers responded to the Kirkintilloch Road area at around 8.40pm on Thursday, August 6.
An online report claimed a male wearing a balaclava had been seen running around Bishopbriggs Cross with a knife and a bottle.
It is understood that no one was injured.

Police confirmed a 16-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection.
A report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Thursday, 6 August, 2026, we received reports of a man seen with in possession of a knife in the Kirkintilloch Road area of Bishopbriggs.
“There were no reports of anyone injured.
“Officers attended and a full search of the area was carried out. A 16-year-old male youth was arrested and charged in connection. A report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.”
