A SCOTTISH hotel has won a prestigious award for the most romantic in the UK.
Ness Walk, a five-star hotel nestled on the banks of the River Ness in Inverness, picked up "Best for Romance" in the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2024.
The hotel's website describes it as being "surrounded by a dramatic canopy of impressive trees".
It adds: "Ness Walk allows you to experience a secluded atmosphere in the heart of the vibrant city centre.
"Just a short walk from Inverness’s city attractions and only a 10-minute drive from the iconic Loch Ness, while the wild and untamed landscapes of the Scottish Highlands are right on our doorstep."

The venue was among several from Scotland to be crowned, with SCHLOSS Roxburghe – set on a Scottish Borders country house estate with a championship golf course to boot – also winning the award for best hotel spa.
Meanwhile, Crossbasket Castle, a hotel just outside Glasgow, picked up the award for best hotel for weddings, parties and celebrations.
Charlotte Evans, group publishing director at Condé Nast Johansens, said: “We are delighted to celebrate new and returning establishments across the globe.
“Following our 40th anniversary last year, the 2024 Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence continue to acknowledge, reward and honour luxury hospitality from our carefully chosen collection of recommended properties.”
