WENDY JAMES will return to Glasgow in support of her new album Queen High Straight, released later this year.
The English singer-songwriter exploded onto the British music scene in 1988 as the fearless front woman of chart-topping alt-rockers Transvision Vamp.
When the band disbanded she went on to collaborate with a number of artists, including Elvis Costello and James Sclavunos of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
Wendy began writing her latest release after the long stretch of writing, recording and touring her previous album The Price Of The Ticket, which charted in the UK at number 14.
She will be playing a 19-date UK tour in May including a show at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, Glasgow on May 21.
