IRISH country pop star Nathan Carter will perform in Stirling and Perth on the Scottish leg of his UK tour this spring.

The singer will play at the Albert Halls on April 15 and Perth Concert Hall on April 23. He also has dates set for Motherwell, Lerwick, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock in the same month.

Carter – who has seven top 10 albums under his belt – will be accompanied by his own live band and supported by rising star Claudia Buckley.

Having released his 11th studio album The Irish Heartland in November 2019, Carter returns with brand new track May the Road Rise featuring legendary Irish folk group The High Kings.

Written by manager John Farry and himself to ring in the new decade, Carter describes the track as “an uplifting, high-energy song about good fortune, well-wishes and friendship”.

Carter has played a number of high-profile shows in recent years including a prestigious slot performing for Pope Francis in Croke Park in Dublin, as well as shows in Ireland at the 3Arena Dublin and SSE Arena Belfast.

He also released his first biography, Born for the Road: My Story So Far, in 2018 and he marked St Patrick's Day last year with his very own show on BBC Radio Ulster.

Growing up in a house where Country and Western music filled the air, Carter was exposed to classic songs of Johnny Cash, Don Williams and Dolly Parton.

From the tender age of four years old, not only learning to play guitar, piano and accordion, which plays a vital part in his live show, Carter quickly became head chorister in the Liverpool Boys choir where he toured the world.
