I AGREE with Ann McGhee (Letters, December 20) regarding the Hydro.
I too was in the area she mentions, and can't understand how they got an entertainment licence from a public safety point of view.
The stair aisles are wide enough for a hand rail up the middle and floor lighting would not go amiss.
As a fan of Andre Rieu I enjoyed the concert, but was disappointed there was no Scottish input - perhaps an arrangement of 'I belong to Glasgow' would have put heart and soul into the arena.

Festive failing
I COULD not agree more with Iain Lundy's piece about Glasgow's festivities compared with Edinburgh's.
George Square is an embarrassment and has little to encourage visitors.

Carnival cost
WHILE reading in Wednesday's Evening Times about the Irn-Bru Carnival, I was disgusted to read that over 60s could get in for £7. Having no intention to go on rides, I am not paying £7 to walk round.
I remember taking my children to the carnival and enjoying the atmosphere but having to pay to walk round is a definite no.

Pub shame
REGARDING, Mum blasts pub over autism 'discrimination' (December 18) - this is appalling
This mother has enough to deal with without having to deal with such arrogance.
