ON George Square - just take a good look at our great city of Glasgow. It is one of the best entertainment cities in the United Kingdom second. God forbid if the Scottish National Party ever took over the.

Look at all the new building programmes we have now and we had the best Commonwealth Games ever in 2014. Our entertainment facilities are some of the best in the United Kingdom and long may it last.

I WONDER where they'll move future George Square events to. Perhaps the SNP will move them all to their beloved Edinburgh just like they did when providing 80% of the £37M funding with the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth diving pool that landed up 50 miles away in Edinburgh.

So much for a sporting legacy for any of our cities aspiring divers.

People appear to be unaware that there never was a Glasgow 2014. It was a Glasgow and Edinburgh 2014 due to the SNP.

THIS week I have seen men power hosing and washing dirt and chewing gum off of the attractive Caithness stone pavements in Argyle St. At first glance this seemed a good idea but on closer inspection it was apparent that the grout between the flagstones was been blasted out which will loosen the stones leading to wobbling, potential breakage, and constitute a trip hazard. When oh when will the Council examine what's being done in the City Centre and apply Common Sense.

GOOD to see Lanarkshire nurse Pauline Cafferkey seems to be making a slight improvement.

It must have been a worrying time for her family. When you consider that all she was trying to do was to help people, it is such a shame that she has had to go through this. Let's hope she comes home soon.

I DECIDED to do a test drive along Govan Road along to the new hospital. I know where I am going, but my goodness it will confuse some people.

When you get to the round about near the LUV cafe, it is anyone's guess where you are meant to be. I can see strangers getting lost and ending up all over the lanes. It is an accident waiting to happen.
