I AM totally shocked to hear that the NHS plan to close down the seven bed ward in the Centre for Integrative Care (Gartnavel), formerly the Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital. (Evening Times June 22)

I, myself, am a patient of this unique hospital.

Being an inpatient, a proper assessment of my health is taken by one of the best doctors and nurses, for physical, emotional, health.

Self-help classes are attended by all patients throughout the week.

Patients are not treated as numbers and are given time to express themselves.

Time and time again we have asked this question, from Nicola Sturgeon and Shona Robison, is this hospital under threat of closure? The answer has always been, ‘no, you do not have to worry about it.’

I might have known, that the no was actually a yes!

I, for one, am a great believer in holistic medication.

Over the years, I have seen many patients feeling the benefit of being admitted in this hospital.

My plea to everyone is, please don’t let this unique hospital be turned into an outpatient clinic only. Please question your MSPs, MPs, as many seriously sick people’s lives depend on it.

READING about the residents left with jungles in their gardens over plans to save £500,000 (Evening Times June 23), the city council is not responsible for housing association houses.

Tenants should complain to their landlords regarding grass cutting.

John Paul McGuirke, Glasgow.

SO that’s it, we are out of the Euro.

Now we will have to get ourselves new industries, new investors, but this time let’s make any company, old and new, trading, and making money in Britain and paying their taxes to Britain.

We must take steps to close all the tax evasion scams and loopholes immediately.

It seems the only people paying the proper taxes are the ordinary folk who pay at source through PAYE.

Now is the time to address the balance.

IF Sturgeon feels the vote to 'Remain' in Scotland was "unequivocal" then she has to accept the vote at the Scottish Independence Referendum was also unequivocal. As a 'Yes' voter it doesn't give me pleasure to say that, but it's reality.

She and all her Clones in the SNP live in a bubble where they think only their views are worthy of adoption, now they have to wake up and smell the coffee!

The vote to 'Leave' in Scotland was substantial and, while not in the majority, warrants respect.

Sturgeon knows she won't get a majority for independence right now, Time for her, and Salmond, to shut up on that subject.
