HAMILTON remain second bottom of the Irn-Bru First Division after losing out to Livingston in a fiery encounter at New Douglas Park.

Despite Stevie May giving Accies a dream start, Livi fought back to claim all three points as Alex Neil and Kevin McCann both received their marching orders during a four minute period in the second half.

As well as seeing his skipper dismissed, Billy Reid's Accies side were denied two potential penalties late on.

The Lanarkshire boss was less than impressed with the performance of referee George Salmond as his side slipped to yet another league defeat.

He said: "We don't seem to get much, lets be honest about it.

"Once again, Alex Neil has been punished. Is it a red card? I don't know. Does anybody really know if it was a red card?

"Did Alex get kicked? The one thing about Alex is he doesn't writhe about, he gets on with it.

"Two of their players went in for the same challenge and he has just brandished his red card and unfortunately it was our captain. It was a right kick in the teeth."
