Dumbarton have expressed great sadness at the death of former striker Hughie Gallacher.
He was 82.
Born locally, Gallacher joined the Sons in 1954 after spells at Duntocher Hibs and Arbroath.
Despite being just 5ft 7in, his goalscoring exploits made him a big favourite of the Boghead support.
In less than eight seasons Gallacher netted 205 goals, from only 231 games. He scored 28 times in 24 matches in his first season, including a run of netting in his first eight matches.
Gallacher was sold to Clyde in 1960, But returned within a year after a short spell with Queen of the South.
Dumbarton Chief Executive Gilbert Lawrie said: "Hughie was a huge favourite during his time here. There will be a vigil at St Michael's Church, Dumbarton, at 6.30 pm tomorrow before a Funeral Mass at 10am on Friday."
