ALLY McCoist has been given assurances by senior officials at Rangers that he will not need to sell any of his best players in the January transfer window.
And given Lee Wallace's clear affinity with the Ibrox club I would expect the left-back to remain where he is.
Lee could easily have left the Glasgow giants along with many of his team-mates when the club dropped down to the bottom tier last summer.
But, along with Lee McCulloch, he showed great loyalty and stayed.
Having said that, every player is up for grabs at Rangers if the money is right.
The SPFL League One leaders will not accept a bid of £1million for him.
But if a club came in with a bid that was over the top it may be considered. I have, meanwhile, been baffled by the criticism Ally has been subjected to for not finalising his pay cut.
Rangers have been run by two men - directors James Easdale and Brian Stockbridge - for the last couple of months.
The club needed to appoint a chairman and chief executive, which they now have, to sign off his new contract.
