Two-time world champ Scott Harrison will make his return to the ring on October 31 after an 18- month absence.
The 37-year-old fighter from Cambuslang has not had a bout since he lost to Norfolk's Liam Walsh at the Wembley Arena in April last year.
But the former holder of the WBO world featherweight title has signed on with new firm Phoenix Promotions and fixed a comeback date after his licence was reinstated by the British Boxing Board of Control last month.
The fight will be in Glasgow but details of the venue and opponent have yet to be released.
Harrison, who has served jail terms in Spain and Britain in the past six years, was suspended by the BBBoC last year.
He said: "I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career with Jay Anderson at Phoenix Promotions."
Anderson added: "I am delighted to have Scott on board. In my opinion he is one of the best fighters Scotland has produced.
"We're looking forward to the journey ahead with ambitious plans. There are exciting times ahead for Scottish boxing."
Meanwhile, Britain's world boxing champion Kell Brook, 28, is in hospital in Tenerife after being stabbed in the leg while on holiday.
Brook's condition was described as "stable" by promoters Matchroom.
But a spokeswoman for Spain's Guardia Civil police said he had "lost a lot of blood".
Brook won the IBF welterweight title last month with a majority-decision win over USA's Shawn Porter in California.
He had been in line for a blockbuster fight with Amir Khan next year.
It is the second time Brook has been stabbed. He was injured in an incident in Sheffield in 2007.
