SEBASTIEN FAURE has set his sights on a return to the Rangers starting line-up when the Light Blues face Livingston on Saturday.

The defender has fallen down the Ibrox pecking order this term and has yet to complete a full game for the Gers.

His latest action came on Tuesday night as he turned out alongside Marius Zaliukas and Richard Foster for Gordon Durie's under-20s.

Boss McCoist could look to shuffle his back four after blasting his defensive line for their shocking showing in Monday's 3-1 loss to Hibs.

Faure helped the Ibrox second string keep a clean sheet against Dunfermline in the reserve clash and is now eager to show what he can do in the Championship.

"It was good for me and Zal to play at centre-back and for Fozzy," Faure said.

"I've not played 90 minutes for the first team this season.

"It is important I keep my fitness up and I enjoyed playing in the Development League but I want to play for the gaffer in the first team.

"I've kept training and have been working hard so I hope to get my chance before long if I can.

"We had a disappointment against Hibernian and the biggest thing is the club.

"We need to respond well but just because we lost the game, it doesn't mean the whole team will change.

"For everyone who isn't playing, we need to keep fit in case we are called upon."

He continued on rangers.co.uk: "I will just keep working hard in front of the gaffer, Kenny (McDowall) and Durranty (Ian Durrant).

"I feel I did well against Dunfermline and hopefully that helped."
