James Bryson of Carmunock asked: "Who would you like Rangers to appoint manager?"
DJ replied: "It is too hard to say. If Rangers go for somebody who is in a job they will have to pay compensation. I can't see them doing that.
"If they go for somebody who is out of work you have to ask: 'Why aren't they in a job?'
"And you need somebody a little bit special to manage Rangers. It is the same when you are a player.
"It is all very well impressing at the likes of Kilmarnock or Dundee United, but you have to deal with being at a big club like Rangers.
"So, for those reasons, I just can't see an outstanding candidate for the Rangers job."
