DUNDEE UNITED have accepted a bid from Celtic for Nadir Ciftci and the Turk is expected to sign for the Parkhead club over the next 48 hours.
The Tannadice club finally relented after a third offer from the Scottish champions of around £1.5million was put in late on Monday night.
A statement on United's website read: "Dundee United today confirmed that an undisclosed fee had been agreed with Celtic for Nadir Ciftci and permission has been granted for the Glasgow club to speak to the player."
The Scottish champions initially offered £900,000 for the 23-year-old Ciftci, which was turned down, and there was also interest from Wigan Athletic. However, the player always wanted to go to Celtic Park and that deal should be finalised soon.
It became clear last week that former Celtic player Pierre Van Hooijdonk - Ciftci's agent - was pushing for the striker to join his old club.
Ciftic will become the club's fourth signing of the summer.
