Hoops midfielder Nir Bitton has told Celtic that they need to go to Sweden next week prepared to prove their Champions League credentials.
Bitton, who scored in the 3-2 win over Malmo on Wednesday evening, has insisted that Celtic belong in the illustrious company of the Champions League group stages.
There was some ill-feeling after the game with Malmo goalkeeper Johan Wiland claiming the Hoops players were like "pigs" while defender Rasmus Bengtsson remarked that "there were some players who talked a lot. You probably know who I mean. They have a captain and a few others who like to talk."
But Bitton has insisted that Celtic are ready to hammer home their point on Tuesday night.
"Celtic are a Champions League team," he said.
“Everybody could see who was the better team. That second goal was very important for them but if we want to play Champions League we need to go over there and win the game."
