MARK WARBURTON was pleased Nathan Oduwa got a reward for his efforts after netting his first goal for Rangers on Tuesday night.
The on loan Spurs star made a superb start to the season but has struggled to hit the heights in the last couple of weeks.
He netted the third goal in the 4-0 win over Dumbarton as the Light Blues moved three points clear at the top of the Championship standings.
“It has [been a long time coming] and don’t forget he is a young player, he is 19,” Warburton told RangersTV.
“You have to learn to deal with success, which he had early on, and you have to learn to deal with disappointment.
“It is all part of your development as a player and your character building.
“He came on, scored the goal and I am pleased for him. He has got a lot of work to do.
“Everyone in that team has got to earn the shirt. If he does that we have a very good player on our hands.”
