CELTIC could be due a cash bonus as Southampton's Victor Wanyama is due to have a Tottenham medical today ahead of his move.
When Celtic sold the Kenyan captain to Saints three years ago, they inserted a clause in his contract which meant they would receive a cut of any future deal, believed to be around 15 per cent, which would come into affect once the transfer goes through.
Press Association Sport has now reported that the Kenya captain will have his Spurs medical today after the two clubs agreed a fee over the weekend.
The midfielder worked with current Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino while he was at Southampton and could move to North London for an initial £9 million that could rise to £12 million if additional clauses are met.
The 24-year-old spent two successful seasons at Celtic Park between 2011 and 2013 before leaving for the Premier League in a deal reportedly worth £12.5 million.
He has since scored four goals in 97 appearances for Saints, helping them to sixth place and Europa League qualification last season under Ronald Koeman.
